We are happy to let you know that we have our new sawmill up and running and are now able to supply local rough sawn timber, from our forest three miles away.
The forest is a large area of mixed woodland which Neds father has been managing for the last twenty years. By clear felling areas of Larch, Spruce and Douglas Fir he has been able to single handedly replant areas with thousands of native hardwoods. His many years of hard work is paying off and the forest is now a beautiful environment, full of wildlife. We saw it at its best today, in warm spring sunshine, watching a woodpecker drumming on a dead branch.
We are able to cut to order, to your measurements, Larch and Douglas Fir and will build up an available stock of useful lengths and dimensions.
