The Natural Building Centre

Y Ganolfan Adeiladu Naturiol.

Armed with the right knowledge, you can carry out much of your own practical work using traditional building skills. Whether you are an architect, a contractor or a home-owner, we can teach you the essentials skills and techniques for working with traditional materials.

We also run traditional craft and applied arts courses, taught by practising craftspeople and artists. We add new courses every year and hold seasonal offers, so do please stay in touch to learn about what we are up to. Our courses are informative, inspiring and fun - we teach life-enhancing skills in a beautiful, peaceful setting.

“Just wanted to say thank you for a great day on Saturday, very informative and we’re looking forward to having a go at home !  It was great to see all the work you have done at Plas Tirion and your passion for the subject is a real inspiration!”

“Very Informative – I find the ‘hands on’ approach infinitely more engaging and consequently far more educating.  Good to learn practical, traditional skills that can be applied both practically and domestically.”

Plas Tirion is set within the Snowdonia National Park, in the beautiful Conwy Valley, approx 2 miles from Betws-y-coed. We are close to mountains, rivers and lakes and fifteen miles from the sea, there is a wide choice of fantastic accommodation to suit all budgets, from boutique hotels to shepherds huts – just let us know if you need help finding a place to stay and we can suggest some great places.
