For over a decade now, Ty-Mawr have been researching and developing an insulated limecrete flooring system to be able to offer you the best materials from both a technical and environmental point of view. Excellent advice and support is offered to design a floor that meets the needs of your specific building, ensuring that you get the best performance for your building and meeting building regulations if required.
The floor system has LABC Registered Detail and can therefore be used in all 376 local authority areas across the country.
Factors that influence the design include:
- wall thickness and construction type
- floor area and perimeter length
- substrate type
- groundwater pressure
- radon protection (permeable membranes do not offer radon protection)
- intended use
A design service for your floor is offered free of charge if the intention is to specify or use Ty Mawr materials, please see left to download the limecrete floor calculation form, then email it to us and we will quote for your materials.
Sublime® Breathable Floor Solution
As with the Limecrete system, the Sublime® floors breathability makes it ideal for use within existing solid wall properties, however, its excellent environmental credentials along with its simplicity and ease of installation makes Sublime® an equally appropriate choice for new builds and extensions.
The GLAPOR Foamed Glass is a structurally and thermally superior product for floor applications. By using GLAPOR Recycled Foamed glass gravel within the insulation layer of your floor, savings can also be made on installation costs due to its ability to compact to a weight bearing surface. The GLAPOR foamed glass gravel also offers the benefit of being more sustainable as it is manufactured using 100% recycled glass.
